Having left my post as a Primary Head Teacher in December 2015, and having previously worked as an Assistant Head, senior leader in several primary schools and as a senior manager at Gloucester Rugby, I have a proven track record as a successful team member and leader.

Before my Headship I was in the almost unique post of being a Community Development Manager in several schools. This role saw me take responsibility for developing sustainable partnerships that enriched the curriculum and learning opportunities. A major part of this was in seeking funding from partners or organisations such as Awards for All, DFID, British Council, charities and trusts, I also have a good record of seeking grants from the Local Authority.

I also worked as an Associate with CHMA. I have spoken at conferences and events in Gloucester, Leeds, Nottingham and London. I sat on the Partnership Board of a Teaching School Alliance as well as being an ex Primary School Governor.

I also work as the  General Manager of Gloucester City Mission with the responsibility of running the organisation including fundraising, since starting here in 2018 our income has increased by more than 110%. I am the Chair of Trustees of Kingdom Wrestling and also a founder and ex-trustee of the charity Tumaini Health where we built and ran a medical centre in Kenya and Love Gloucester.

Through my work at Gloucester City Mission I sit on the Executive Board for the City Mission Movement and the Social Responsibility Group for Gloucester Cathedral.

I believe in being innovative and taking calculated risks and am a highly organised professional who is decisive and forward-thinking, contributing creative and innovative yet practical ideas. I am an intelligent risk-taker and have a disciplined but highly driven attitude to innovations within the curriculum.

Developing positive partnerships with the local community has been a high priority throughout my career so that the continual development of a school or church as a focal and integral part of the community becomes a focused part of school development.
